We are raising money to send a team of poets from the Mid South to compete at an international poetry slam in Chicago this summer. In addition to supporting this team of poets, you are helping build an organization which models literacy and places poet mentors in area schools and youth organizations.

We welcome your pledge for every minute that the poet community can perform consecutively on that day. A pledge of $1 per minute would amount to $300 (5 hours x 60 minutes) if we are able to perform for the entire five (5) hours . . .

Please join us and show your support and receive inspiration and hope from these young voices. All pledges are due on this day as the poets leave for Chicago the following week. Thank you for helping to show young people that our society values and acknowledges literacy and the positive accomplishments of youth.
